We found this little bugger (a Praying Mantis, possibly a hypnomantis) lurking on a pillar at the Horus Temple in Egypt, spying his guts off. We are pretty certain it's a member of *Blepharopsis world-wide net of insect spies (part of his evil plan for world domination). We are on to you, Igor!

Cool shot, the colors work so well together. Great work.

One of my minions, you say? Sunbathing in broad daylight, was he? How unprofessional of him - it's the chameleon pit for the bastard once he's back to the central headquarters...

;)
:iconbergroth:
Yes, do that. His lack of professionalism was disturbing.

Btw - is this your thesis?

SMERSH shpionam!

omfg - are you evaluating my credibility as a "mad scientist"? See, I have all rights to that title - should I scan the list of prescription drugs I'm currently on too? ;)

aye, it's mine...
:iconbergroth:
Of course. As a mad scientist myself, it is my responsibility to evaluate and scrutinize other scientists. Especially ones seeking world domination. But actually I was seeking clues to what your evil plans might be. And imagine my disappointment when I didn't find anything standing out in your research that could be used as a weapon. But perhaps something subtle...? A chemically enhanced IGFBP that causes some sort of deadly fast-killing cancer, perhaps?

I see that you published an article in PNAS this year. Congratulations!

Ps. I want in.

aye, everybody can pretend to be one on DArt, someone should check on those self proclaimed "mad scientists". You're doing good job on that!

the thing is, I still have an access to certain amounts of growth hormones... wink wink, nudge nudge... Oh, and just another proof (not that it's needed really) that internet mail messages are monitored: as soon as I started exchange of my project-oriented information through my yahoo mail account, I've got tons of spam offering me penis enlargement therapy (not that it's needed really) using IGF-I. well, apparently it has more fun uses than I've explored in my work. Obviously.

PNAS - I didn't put a fight and landed on the third position - I have no ambition at all. Thanks nevertheless!

My dream - making an EMBO journal cover, and with the yearly cover picture conquest it might be just feasible! Do they do it this year too? [link]

Oh, that would be sweeeeet! You could so win that. I hope they have one for 2007. I couldn't find anything about it neither on google or embo.org, though. But since they seem to have had the contest going for several years now, it would be weird if they stopped now.

You don't happen to have any collaborators at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden?
